This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake air heater "a", circuit open It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake throttle actuator control motor, control circuit . So for next shift up/down wire, open / short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
10288 Possible Causes:
10288 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 10288 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas recirculation throttle control, circuit 'a' low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
