This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'h' primary control, short to plus retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start valve for starting with empty tank-nxxx, short to b+ . On the other hand fuel mixture control adjustment range 2, lower limit not reached will delay your vw fault. |
10261 Possible Causes:
10261 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High

- Inspect all the connections injector control pressure regulator, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
