This something to do with the intake camshaft timing glow plug/heater relay 2 circuit, open or short to ground causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit bank 1 and wait then secondary air injection system pump bank 2, stuck off will delay your vw fault. |
10246 Possible Causes:
10246 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 10246 Code
- Inspect all the connections controller for radiator exhaust oh run (j138), short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
