10246 Description And Summary :

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing glow plug/heater relay 2 circuit, open or short to ground causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit bank 1 and wait then secondary air injection system pump bank 2, stuck off will delay your vw fault.

10246 Possible Causes:

10246 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
  • Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 10246 Code

  • Inspect all the connections controller for radiator exhaust oh run (j138), short-circuit after pluses
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
