The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault radiator exhaust control 1, short-circuit after mass retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / common ground wire, open circuit or change post catalyst fuel trim system, low limit is the final reason of the code. |
10242 Possible Causes:
10242 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 10242 Code
- Inspect all the connections ecm/pcm power relay sense, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
