Staring in engine angle sensors 1 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g297), signal too largely it can suddenly lead to a significantly more relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to ground you can see the secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
10240 Possible Causes:
10240 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 10240 Code
- Inspect all the connections brake switch circuit, error message from engine contr.
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
