This code were stamped on VW Engine case pressure control valve 1 (n215), open / short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 3, biased / stuck lean or shift lock, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
10240 Possible Causes:
10240 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 10240 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s3, signal shorted to heater circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
