10231 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas temperature, bank 1 sensor 2, out of range the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles coolant circulation pump relay (j151), open circuit . On the other hand o2 sensor signals swapped bank 1 sensor 2 / bank 1 sensor 3 is the final reason of the code. |
10231 Possible Causes:
10231 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 10231 Code
- Inspect all the connections evaporative emission system leak detection pump control, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
