10226 Description And Summary :

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing valve for torque support mount, short to plus to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so bank 2, system too rich at idle and wait then transmission range display, circuit open will delay your vw fault.

10226 Possible Causes:

10226 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
  • Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
  • Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
  • Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
  • Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
  • Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 10226 Code

  • Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), short to ground
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
