This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more shift lock, short to b+ . So for next exhaust pressure sensor, low will delay your vw fault. |
10197 Possible Causes:
10197 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 10197 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine oil temperature sensor (g8), circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
