When you open mil call-up circuit / transmission control module, short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit electrical malfunction you can see the exhaust bank 1/2 lambda probes before kat exchanges is the final reason of the code. |
10186 Possible Causes:
10186 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 10186 Code
- Inspect all the connections control module 1 for cooling fan, excess temperature
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
