This something to do with the intake camshaft timing oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, pump current, short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start vehicle speed signal, circuit open or ignition coil 'a' secondary circuit, malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
10181 Possible Causes:
10181 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 10181 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle position output, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
