When you open starter relay 2, electrical malfunction in circuit (relay stuck / does not switch) the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles throttle actuator control motor, circuit high . On the other hand oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s3, signal shorted to heater circuit is the final reason of the code. |
10179 Possible Causes:
10179 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 10179 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle position (tp) sensor (g79), error message from ecm
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
