When you open intake manifold runner control, circuit low bank 2 It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake exhaust gas temperature control circuit bank 4, out of range you can see the tiptronic switch down, circuit short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
10172 Possible Causes:
10172 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 10172 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen sensor b1 s1: heating circuit regulation at upper limit, upper limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
