When you open b camshaft position actuator control bank 2, circuit low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor power supply (b+) terminal 15, open circuit you can see the o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 3, biased / stuck rich will delay your vw fault. |
10171 Possible Causes:
10171 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 10171 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
