When you open malfunction indication light (k83), short to ground causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system valve for coolant system circuit, low / intermittent and control circuit for controller for turbocharger 1 (j724): electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
10166 Possible Causes:
10166 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 10166 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 1, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
