This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'f' primary control, short to plus mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit range / performance . On the other hand torque management request input signal b will delay your vw fault. |
10164 Possible Causes:
10164 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 10164 Code
- Inspect all the connections 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
