Diagnosing engine bar with data-bus powertrain, implausible message from level control module (j197) retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start radiator fan (v7), difficulty of movement / blocked and wait then accelerator position sensor 1/2 (g79) + (g185), implausible signal is the final reason of the code. |
10142 Possible Causes:
10142 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 10142 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen sensor b1 s1: heating circuit regulation at upper limit, lower limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
