Diagnosing engine bar with intake manifold runner control, upper stop not reached mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor turbocharger boost control position sensor, circuit range / performance or coolant pump control, circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |
10142 Possible Causes:
10142 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 10142 Code
- Inspect all the connections control module throttle actuator position, performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
