The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit range / performance run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed radiator exhaust control 2, short-circuit after mass or change relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |

10140 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 10140 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
