101 Possible Causes:
101 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 101 Code
- Inspect all the connections signal for back-up lights, open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
