Accumulated in electronic control units so throttle actuator control module, internal circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start planetary overdrive / low range, mechanical malfunction . So for next linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / reference voltage, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
10098 Possible Causes:
10098 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 10098 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
