Accumulated in electronic control units so exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start gear/ratio monitoring adaptation, limit reached also exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
10048 Possible Causes:
10048 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction

- Inspect all the connections pressure sensor for brake boost (g294), short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
