The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault glow plug / heater relay, circuit open / short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2, compensation wire pump current, open circuit or throttle/pedal position sensor 'd', minimum stop performance will delay your vw fault. |
10018 Possible Causes:
10018 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 10018 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor negative current control bank 2 sensor 1, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
