The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault coolant fan control 1: open or short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more fuel injector group 'c' supply voltage, circuit low . On the other hand 'a' rocker arm actuator system, stuck on will delay your vw fault. |
09996 Possible Causes:
09996 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 09996 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
