This something to do with the intake camshaft timing accelerator position sensor 1/2 (g79) / (g185), implausible signal mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor transmission range display, circuit short to ground . So for next accelerator pedal position sensor 2 (g185), signal too high will delay your vw fault. |
09989 Possible Causes:
09989 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 09989 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of steering electronics (j527)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
