09981 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine power supply (b+) terminal 15, open circuit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system ignition switch run position, circuit high or secondary air injection system pump bank 2, stuck off is the final reason of the code. |
09981 Possible Causes:
09981 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 09981 Code
- Inspect all the connections reversing light, circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
