This something to do with the intake camshaft timing transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), no signal run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed activation, intake manifold runner bank 2 control, range / performance or change system too rich at higher load, bank 2 will delay your vw fault. |
09917 Possible Causes:
09917 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 09917 Code
- Inspect all the connections camshaft position signal output, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
