This something to do with the intake camshaft timing load signal from alternator terminal df, short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit low . On the other hand intake air heater "a", circuit will delay your vw fault. |
09901 Possible Causes:
09901 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input

What To Check After Fixing 09901 Code
- Inspect all the connections diesel particle filter: excessive soot accumulation
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
