099 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), adaptation not started mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, short-circuit after pluses and engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit is the final reason of the code.

099 Possible Causes:

099 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
  • Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
  • Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
  • Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
  • Reverse Input Circuit

What To Check After Fixing 099 Code

  • Inspect all the connections accelerator pedal position sensor 2 (g185), signal too high
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
