The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault nox trap, efficiency below threshold (bank 2) It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit low . On the other hand nox sensor heater sense bank 1, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |

09898 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction

- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 09898 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
