This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to ground and wait then exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
09879 Possible Causes:
09879 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 09879 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
