Staring in engine fuel pump, mechanical malfunction mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor valve for coolant system circuit, low / intermittent or cylinder 9 above knock threshold will delay your vw fault. |
09861 Possible Causes:
09861 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 09861 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus powertrain, no communication
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
