The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault ignition coil cylinder 14, high circuit run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed glow plug indictor light (k29), malfunction message from instrument cluster or drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
09860 Possible Causes:
09860 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 09860 Code
- Inspect all the connections reductant / regeneration supply control, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
