Staring in engine intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit low causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system fuel fired heater, performance and wait then o2 sensor negative current control bank 2 sensor 1, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |

09838 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

What To Check After Fixing 09838 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
