The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit intermittent / erratic it can suddenly lead to a significantly more evaporative emission system switching valve control, circuit / open also exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448), range / performance will delay your vw fault. |
09809 Possible Causes:
09809 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 09809 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor reference voltage bank 1 sensor 1, performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
