The problem is about pressure control solenoid 5 (n233) short to b+ retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ecm/pcm power input, signal you can see the immobilizer query not yet performed is the final reason of the code. |
09801 Possible Causes:
09801 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 09801 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'b' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
