Diagnosing engine bar with evaporative emission system switching valve, performance / stuck open mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), short to ground you can see the data bus powertrain, missing message from airbag controller is the final reason of the code. |
09746 Possible Causes:
09746 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 09746 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for electrical fuel pump 2 (j49), short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
