Staring in engine intake manifold flap; bank 1, stuck open run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed generator shut-off, open or short to ground and exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit short-circuit after mass is the final reason of the code. |
09721 Possible Causes:
09721 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 09721 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
