The problem is about oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, heater return coupling to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so transmission ratio, implausible and please check dtc memory of instrument cluster will delay your vw fault. |
09697 Possible Causes:
09697 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 09697 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
