The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault fuel pump, short circuit It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake friction too high, intake cam adjustment bank 1 or system too rich at higher load, bank 2 is the final reason of the code. |

09697 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
