The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault intake air heater "a", circuit range / performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start bank 2, system too rich off idle and crankshaft position signal output, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
09498 Possible Causes:
09498 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 09498 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 11 (n307), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
