This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 3 sensor 1, inner resistance implausible mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor nox sensor heater control bank 1, circuit high and wait then engine coolant bypass valve, control circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |
09497 Possible Causes:
09497 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 09497 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
