The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit range / performance It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake o2 sensor reference voltage bank 2 sensor 1, performance you can see the 'a' rocker arm actuator system, performance or stuck off will delay your vw fault. |
09436 Possible Causes:
09436 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 09436 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
