The problem is about exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit low causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust bank 1/2 lambda probes before kat exchanges and wait then exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
09405 Possible Causes:
09405 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 09405 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at upper limit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
