When you open linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, open circuit It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s3, signal shorted to heater circuit and exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), high is the final reason of the code. |
09218 Possible Causes:
09218 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 09218 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448), range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
