The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), under voltage during basic adjustment mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit high you can see the linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / pump current, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
09208 Possible Causes:
09208 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 09208 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
