09179 Description And Summary : |

The problem is about bank 2, system too rich off idle run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / pump current, short to ground and wait then idle regulation lean operation: rpm too high is the final reason of the code. |
09179 Possible Causes:
09179 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 09179 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel pump "a", low flow / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
