09170 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s3, signal shorted to heater circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start fuel injection valve 3 (n368), open circuit and combustion detection during deceleration is the final reason of the code. |
09170 Possible Causes:
09170 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 09170 Code
- Inspect all the connections injector cylinder 13 (n390), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
