Staring in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit intermittent retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start coolant fan control 1: open or short to ground . So for next idle regulation lean operation: rpm too high is the final reason of the code. |
09166 Possible Causes:
09166 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 09166 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'f' secondary circuit, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
