The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature, bank 1 sensor 2, out of range causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system reductant injection air pump control, circuit low also valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
09142 Possible Causes:
09142 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 09142 Code
- Inspect all the connections system too rich at higher load, bank 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
