09079 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit intermittent retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust turbocharger control module 1 (j724), voltage supply outside permissible range and valve for starting with empty tank-nxxx, open or short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
09079 Possible Causes:
09079 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 09079 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel pressure regulator 2 control circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
