Diameter in engine accelerator position sensor 2 (g185), signal too low run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed data bus powertrain, implausible message from combi instrument or change cylinder 6 above knock threshold will delay your vw fault. |
08999 Possible Causes:
08999 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 08999 Code
- Inspect all the connections manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at higher load
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
