The problem is about motor for intake manifold flap (v157), open / short to ground run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed exhaust bank 3, probe 2 signal too slowly you can see the exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit of electrical errors is the final reason of the code. |
08997 Possible Causes:
08997 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 08997 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 3 (n217), open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
